Maidstone Leisure Trust welcomes Lockmeadow Health Club
Currently managed by David Lloyd, they will be leaving Lockmeadow Health Club on Wednesday 31st May 2023 with MLT taking over and continuing as a private health and fitness facility from Monday 5th June 2023. Ambitious plans are already underway to redevelop the site and hire staff within the next three weeks.
The Trust and Serco are proud to support MBC with this facility, which will be operated via a different model than that of MLT's public leisure facilities. Taking on this new centre means MLT now look after three sites, with Mote Park Outdoor Adventure and Maidstone Leisure Centre operating under the trust.

Commenting on the new operator, MBC Cabinet Member for Leisure and Arts Cllr Claudine Russell said: “We know how much our residents have valued this facility in the town centre for many years and are delighted that it will remain open as a place to relax, workout and socialise for the people of Maidstone.”
Clive Bradburn, Chair of Maidstone Leisure Trust (MLT) added: “We are delighted to be supporting Maidstone Borough Council to keep this popular local health and fitness club open.”
Lockmeadow Health Club aim for group exercise classes to start up from the first week, with the hope of using existing instructors, and lessons are expected to resume from 1st July.
To help with this move, there will be a membership pod located in the front of the Lockmeadow Health Club car park for customers from Friday 19th May 2023 for any questions or concerns.
